The thing is, loyalty is supposed to be more important than money, and by going with his father SHobe showed that his loyalty has a price.

its really your opinion on this situation. That is to say that loyalty is not supposed to be more important than money for some people. And that is okay. As well as being there could be a shit ton of reasons that Shibe went with his father although he had an mother complex. For example, in the panel where it was a flashback of shibe’s father offering him money, he could have as well threatened to hurt his mother, that is because he needed a “son”. And even if he chose money over his mother, that doesn’t just give right to anyone to assume that he is just a piece of trash just because society pushes the idea of “loyalty is more important than money” upon us.
