Mark, pretty much all of the larger weapons you mentioned would be ineffective on the monsters. Nukes for example, would be outright counterproductive, as the monster spawning point is an extra dimensional dungeon underground *in a city you are trying to recapture*. Pretty much all the air strike and heavy artillery are similarly ineffective because of both destroying the city and it not actually harming the monsters’ infrastructure, to the extent that it exists.

And no dude, we really don’t have railguns yet. We have a couple practice builds, but so far they aren’t that efficient to actually use.

As for regular guns, the supply chain is fucked to hell and back. There was an initial massive wave and pretty much everyone is cut off from each other. Bullets and guns might’ve been useful initially, but the ability to manufacture enough of them to be effective seems to have been lost in favor of the enchanted weapons people use.

At the end of the day dude, the initial stampede is the premise, not the story itself. It could go into talking about the back and forth in the initial war, but all we really need to know is that humanity more or less lost but is now in effectively a stalemate.
